Prayerline - February 5, 2012 - Sunday - China

In Yunnan Province, a compassion ministry cares for HIV patients who are sick and dying. During their last visit to China, Freddie and Dorothy Sun shared the Gospel with them. Missionaries also take care of deaf mute tribal patients, reaching them with the Good News through sign language. They all have become believers and when their family members visited them, seeing their peace and joy, they also believed. The ministry needs $1,000 per month for operations and to care for their patients.

Hundreds come to Christ each year through their open-air evangelism and church-planting work, and many evangelical leaders are trained by the seminars which COA conducts.

Christians Killed in Murderous Attack

More than 130 Christians, including several indigenous missionaries, were brutally slaughtered on November 11 when members of a fanatic Islamic sect viciously attacked the mostly Christian community of New Jerusalem in Yobe State, Nigeria. But one of the terrorists has become a committed Christian, after meeting with an indigenous Christian missionary.
