Faith in the Midst of Famine and Fear
Hear Their Hearts, See Their World!
“With joy, I am pleased to send you a report of our recent mission trip in which the Lord won a lot of souls,” Christ Evangelistic Fellowship Ministries leader James Cuffee wrote to Intercede in summer. “I took with me 27 persons in canoes to a village where the Gospel has never been preached before. The village is Kenyemah. We baptized more than 35 persons who totally surrendered their lives to the Lord. We saw 11 Muslims also give their lives to God, including the town chief’s wife, Sister Hawa. She was so happy! We had a meeting with them to establish a church and they are working very hard to see that the church is built in that part of the hinterland. We are grateful to our valued donors, sponsors and friends of our ministry in Canada who continue to support this worthy cause for Christ.”

Intercede International seeks to establish, encourage, and strengthen an indigenous, New Testament witness for our Lord Jesus Christ among all nations by providing material and spiritual aid to Christians who are impoverished, few, or persecuted; and to encourage Christian witness and ministry to the international community in Canada.

Men play drums as they lead their congregation in worship.

High up in the Andes Mountains of Peru, Churches of Ayacucho missionaries partnered with Intercede International have an intensive ministry among poor children—teaching them the Bible and providing for their physical needs, such as food and clothing. These missionaries believe that children are the future of the Peruvian church.
