From late October to mid-November, Patrick and Barb Lataillade of Living Word Ministries will be in Canada to speak at Intercede’s Haiti Gateway Missions Conference and to meet supporters in Ontario and Quebec. Please pray that God will bless the Lataillades’ ministry in Canada, and continue to restore their health, as they recover from injuries suffered in January’s earthquake.

Pray for evangelist Slavik Radchuk as he continues his summer evangelism crusades in Ukraine and the Russian Federation. A total of more than 50,000 people attended during the first month and about 3,000 came forward to accept Christ. Pray for $2,100 each to cover expenses for 12 crusades, and for his health and protection as he travels and preaches daily.

Every year tens of thousands of people in Bangladesh contract malaria and other diseases carried by mosquitoes. Many do not recover. Bed nets have proven to be inexpensive and effective in limiting mosquito-transmitted diseases. This year Indigenous Mission of Bangladesh wants to provide nets for their native missionaries and other believers. Pray for God’s provision of 1,000 nets ($5.50 each).

In October, Vineyard of Colombia leader Luis Guerrero will visit Canada on behalf of that ministry. Pray that God will bless his time in Canada and inspire many Canadians to support this vibrant ministry in prayer and finances. Pray also for Guerrero’s complete healing from serious health problems.

After two years of praying, Missionary Crusaders Ministries received gifts from supporters for its first School On Wheels. Missionaries are rejoicing as they continue to pray for equipment needed to outfit the “School” for ministry among the vast, nomadic, mostly-Muslim Fulani tribe. They need a projector ($1,300), generator ($650), learning materials ($750), and veterinary drugs and equipment ($850) to complete the tools to get the job done.

“Savitri, one of our two teachers at the Shanti Nagar Project, has been suffering from kidney stones and most of the time is in pain,” reports Daniel Abraham of Christian Fellowship Centre. “We want to help her get it operated on soon. Wary of outsiders and bound to animistic religions, the Huichol tribal people have nevertheless been open to the Gospel when shared by native missionaries like Domingo de la Cruz Muñoz, a Huichol and leader of Bible School for Indigenous Peoples. BSIP’s trusted “insider” status opens many doors for the Gospel. Pray for God’s provision for clothes and shoes for 80 Huichol children ($20 each). This down-to-earth ministry builds relationships with entire families in order to win them to Christ.

In 2003 Gospel Outreach Centre started its ministry in a remote town with no churches. Local authorities quickly imprisoned three of their missionaries just for carrying Bibles. Three years later the missionaries planted the first church in that community. Praise the Lord! Currently the church has more than 80 believers and there are also church plants in two neighbouring villages. Pray for God’s provision to build a meeting hall for believers ($10,600).

“On my recent journey to India, Bangladesh and Nepal, we visited 10 of Intercede’s ministry partners,” reports Intercede President James Eagles. “They had one enormous unmet need that hindered their ability to spread the Gospel: Transportation. National missionaries in their own countries desperately need more and better transportation. If each one had a bicycle or motorcycle he could reach many more villages during his missionary travels.” Pray that Intercede will be able to Give Them Wheels.

Making inroads for Jesus Christ in Indonesia is a challenging task. Open preaching of the Gospel is strictly regulated, and the construction of new church buildings is limited in many areas. In this restrictive environment, God has called the workers of Oneness, Fullness, Witness to serve Him. Pray for God’s protection of them, and for God’s inspiration in their ministry.

“We as a ministry in Cuba reaffirmed our commitment to preach the Gospel, to establish new church posts, to equip the workers and reach out to the lost souls of Cuba,” asserts David Moreno, Jr., new leader of Churches of the Open Bible. “We have set a goal for 2014 is to establish 50 more churches. The work is hard, but with the help of the Lord we can do it.” Pray that this goal will be accomplished.

“On June 2 we suffered a car accident,” writes Paraguay Missionary Churches leader Ramona de Paredes. “My two daughters were with me, but the Lord spared us and we don’t have serious wounds, just minor ones. The car, though, suffered great damage, and will cost about $1,600 to repair. We ask for your help in this matter.”

The situation in Uzbekistan for Christians continues to become more difficult. The law requires an attendance of 200 people for church registration. It is difficult in villages to have this many people. And when missionaries move to a village, they have no job, and little support. Churches of Ayacucho missionaries have been distributing teaching materials for Sunday - school among COA churches, and seminars are being held in many congregations. Missionaries give a guide for personal growth to every new convert, so the disciple has something to follow during the first year of his/her conversion. Pray for God’s continued blessing on COA’s training of pastors and church leaders and discipleship of new believers.
